Our Kisii stone items are hand-carved out of sustainably mined soapstone by a dedicated group of artisans in Kenya. In addition to cutting, carving, and polishing each piece by hand, our artisans also carve their name on every item they make. The Ten by Three Prosperity Wages that Kenyan artisans receive for their goods ensures they are earning at least 2.5 times the local fair trade wage for every item they produce.
