Ghana Swing M Orange Stripes

Our products from Ghana are woven from elephant grass, which is a completely sustainable material grown in the country.  The dyes used are primarily plant dyes such as sorghum.  The grasses used in the baskets are twisted tightly making them extremely strong.  The handles are also handcrafted and made of straw which is then wrapped in goat leather.  The average time to weave a basket is about two and a half days.  These are handcrafted items so sizes are approximate and colors and patterns will vary.
